As some of you know the Best New Band concert streamed live via internet earlier today at 4pm. For those of you who were lucky enough to actually be at the concert, it must have been amazing there was so much talent in there that it had to be crazy, and I'm not just talking about 2NE1. But the other artists that performed: La Vida Boheme, Yuna, and Gyptian were all amazing. If you have the time please look them up they all deserved to win along with the girls, but I have to say that 2NE1's performance was electric and I was watching it via internet and it was amazing. They performed Fire, Can't Nobody, Lonely, and I am the Best.
This is the second huge win for kpop. First we have Big Bang winning at the EMA's and now we have 2NE1 winning Best New Band (even though they aren't all that new, but I don't care). The US has had two huge concerts (at least to me they were), we had the SMTown concert in New York and K-Pop Masters in Las Vegas. Slowly but surely K-pop is taking over the world and as all of our idols have said over and over again, they couldn't have done it without the fans. And I have to agree (as a VERY avid K-Pop fan) that we have been working our behinds off to make this tidal wave that has been dubbed the Hallyu wave. Me personally, I don't see that wave ending until K-pop has achieved world domination (although in my mind that has happened, but we all know that the US hasn't been completely dominated yet, you can tell because when they have K-Pop concerts they are all on the coasts once they successfully have concerts in the middle of the states then the Hallyu wave will begin to settle.)
****So far all the fan videos I have seen I haven't liked but it is avaliable on MTV Iggy (click here) 2NE1 heads out to the stage at 01:48:20. I am kind of hoping that MTV IGGY has a youtube and uploads the video onto their channel. I will be looking you guys but as I said watch it on MTV IGGY
