Girl's Generation performs "The Boys" on French TV Show, "Le Grand Journal"

On February 9th, Girls' Generation made their big France debut with their English title track "The Boys" on the popular French television talk show CANAL Plus' "Le Grande Journal."

The initial audience reaction was very explosive as fans cheered for the popular South Korean girl group, leading to a successful first stage for Girls' Generation.

The hosts begins introducing Girls' Generation stage and said, "It's the new phenomenon, Korean Pop, called K-Pop. It has attracted more than 50 million views on YouTube, more than 10,000 fans at the Bercy Stadium yesterday, with hundreds of thousands of fans around the world. They are called 'Girls' Generation,' 'SNSD.' For the first time on French television, I present to you Girls' Generation with their single 'The Boys'!"

The audience showed similar enthusiasm as U.S. Soshi fans last week, and sang and shouted fanchants along with the group as they sang, with the several MCs looking on in awe.

At the end of their performance, Girls' Generation walked up to the MC table. One of the MCs can be heard saying, "It's so rare, what a phenomenon."

Another said, "It's rare, rare! And especially, I don't know which one to pick. They're all great."

"Are you coming for a tour to Belgium?" another joked, "I'm going to discuss this with them now," while another added, "I'm married, I should leave the stage now."

The main MC then begins the main interview with Tiffany and Sooyoung at the helm and asked, "How was the group created?"
Sooyoung answers in Korean with the help of a Korean-French translator. "Girls' Generation is a group made up of 9 girls. We were recruited when we were young and with the casting, we started out really early, and here we are, like that we started the group.
One of the woman MCs asked with a big smile, "How do you find your welcome in France? Your French fans, how do you find them?"
Tiffany answers in English and said, "This is the second time we've been in France and this is the first time we've been on France TV {French television} and it's just a joy to see our fans here. Especially when we're performing here, you can hear them participating and it just feels amazing. Thank you so much! You guys are awesome!"

Last week, Girls' Generation made their national television debut in the U.S. on the "Late Night Show with David Letterman" and "LIVE! with Kelly."
