JQT has been disbanded

Girl group, JQT, has just been announced to have disbanded by their company, GP Entertainment. The four-member girl group debuted in October of 2009, with their first digital single, "BLING BLING". They saw success with their first official mini-album, "PeeKaBoo".

In May, the group announced that they would be going into the US market, with famous producer Melvin Brown. However, the good news was soon met with bad news, as member "Minsun" officially withdrew from the group to concentrate on studies. She was replaced by trainee, Jinkyung. The group then announced they had officially signed under the label, "Konvict Muzik", for their US debut. The company was created by Akon, so the news was met with much buzz.

However, it's now been announced the group has officially disbanded. This comes as a surprise, as the group has been announcing their US debut for quite some time now. The company announced that their contracts had expired and the company has not renewed them.

Sadly, this is not the first time that the members of JQT have been dropped by their label. Three of the original members previously belonged to female group, "i-13", before they disbanded and went their separate ways.
