Following the SMTOWN LIVE 2012 concert in Los Angeles in Anaheim theater last night, MBC held the “Korean Music Wave in Google” concert tonight to a packed stadium at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.

Originally set as a private concert for Google employees, it was announced earlier in the month that the concert would be opened up to the public for free. Promising a star-studded lineup with top Korean artists, including TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, Wonder Girls, KARA, BEAST, f(x), MBLAQ and SISTAR. Super Junior's Siwon, Girls' Generation's Yuri and Yoona could not make this show along with SMTown due to busy schedules. Thousands of fans flooded to get tickets through Powerhouse’s website and at pickup locations throughout California, showing the power of the Hallyu wave.

Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and Tiffany led the spectacular night as emcees, leading in Korean and English. Each artist was introduced with a special video and between songs, they introduced themselves to the audience, with excited fans cheering them on.

Wonder Girls' Sunye presented a special stage of Insooni's "Father," dedicating it to her father who had passed a few years prior. Meanwhile, Girls' Generation's Seohyun sang Cherry Filter's "Flying Duck," bringing the audience back to her trainee days, she said that this song helped her a lot during her trainee says.
