The thing about Allkpop

For all of you k-pop fans in the world, I am sure that you have heard of the popular website, allkpop. For those of you who havent been to allkpop and dont what the website is all about, dont go to it. Lately it has become evident that they are doing whatever they can to come up with stories. Now, allkpop wasnt always like this, they used to have really great stories that had me checking the stories every hour that I could, but as the months rolled by the stories got more pointless and then it happened. They began to start off the wall rumors about some of the idols. One that I remember actually happened pretty recently, it was G-Dragon's marijuana thing. It happened earlier this year but then all of a sudden when everyone was quieting down about it they bring up the story.

It’s just been reported that Big Bang‘s leader G-Dragon has been caught by authorities for smoking marijuana.

“We indicted G-Dragon on the charges of smoking marijuana,” said a representative for the Seoul police on October 5th.

According to investigators, G-Dragon had smoked marijuana sometime in the middle of May this year, and had taken a drug test in July. Although the results had come back negative with an initial urine test, further tests overturned that decision, and he had confessed at the time that he had been taking the drug at a Japanese club when he had visited the country for a concert.

“I smoked a cigarette that someone had given me at a club,” G-Dragon said. “The smell was somewhat different from that of a regular cigarette so I was slightly suspicious that it was marijuana, but it is true that I smoked it,” he said.

According to investigators, since the amount of marijuana was so small and G-Dragon had no prior offences, they decided to give him a warning.

Stay tuned to allkpop as the story unfolds.

I dont know about you but why would they wait until October to bring it up. They even say that the charges where dropped. you would think that they would have stopped but they didnt.

Recently, a marijuana specialist answered some questions surrounding G-Dragon‘s mysterious drug case.

On October 8th, KBS 2TV‘s ‘Entertainment Weekly‘ featured a thorough investigation of the idol’s recent marijuana controversy.

As many of you already know, it was reported that G-Dragon admitted to smoking marijuana in Japan back in May. In July, a drug test of his hair came out positive for the presence of the drug. Considering that it was the idol’s first offense, and only a tiny amount of the drug was detected, the prosecution decided to “suspend indictment”.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutor Office explained, “Taking into account that G-Dragon is a college student and a first-time offender, we decided not to indict him.” The prosecutor acknowledges G-Dragon’s criminal charges, but will not bring him to court for a trial due to many factors such as: age, criminal motive, and remorse.

However, Jeon Gyung Soo, the former director of the Korean Police Narcotics Bureau stated, “It’s really rare for a hair drug test to come out positive just because a couple puffs of marijuana.”

Netizens have also been speculating that there was an ulterior motive behind G-Dragon’s shaved haircut. However, YG Entertainment asserted that there is nothing to it, particularly since he cut his hair long after the testing.

Netizens have had mixed reactions such as, “I don’t know what’s going on, but it is true that G-Dragon did wrong. He should formally apologize and self-reflect on his actions“, “I was really anticipating his comeback. He should make a formal apology for his reputation“, and “Yes, it does seem strange that the hair drug test came out positive if he only took a few puffs“.

After that there were a few other articles that ask whether or not G Dragon should be banned from TV stations because of it. I mean seriously they are trying to hard to make something of nothing.
Recently, Big Bang was in London to take part in the EMA's because they were nominated in the Best Worldwide Act Award for 2011. VIP's and Kpop fans alike where immediatly proud of the Boys for winning the award. Fangirl squeals, random jumping and running around, and tears of happiness where shed all because the boys won the award that us kpop fans as one voted for them to win. It was one of the times where fans from all different fanclubs joined together for a good cause. To make K-pop music known. Even beating out top contender Britney Spears.

The world of K-pop was swimming in this victory until a horrible thing happened, that put the VIP's in an uproar.

On the 7th, Big Bang member Taeyang wrote via his official Twitter page, “BYE IRELAND BYE LONDON” and uploaded the above photo after winning the “Best Worldwide Act” award at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards.

In the photo were Taeyang, T.O.P, and Seungri, but also Daesung who has been taking a break from the industry since his accident last May, and G-Dragon who has also been taking a break from the lime light since his marijuana scandal. Fans were concerned for G-Dragon’s well being, as he looked especially frail and thin in his red jumper.

Netizens who saw the photo expressed their support by leaving comments such as, “G-Dragon’s face is only half what it used to be“, “He must’ve had such a hard time“, and “Congratulations Daesung on your return, and we pray that G-Dragon will make his comeback soon as well. We’ll be waiting“.

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. They just won an award and they want to bring up G Dragon's marijuana scandal and Daesungs accident. They obviously dont want to Big Bang to be happy. This win meant a lot to the VIP's because it was the first time in a long time that we saw Daesung smile so big since the accident and then allkpop went and had to bring up things and notice stupid things. And if you notice G Dragon isnt standing away from everyone. The person in fron of him the picture is bent over and to be seen he had to stand there, they need to stop making stuff up. Its been said by the chairman of YG will be cracking down on all the websites that have been creating rumors of their artists. And to me that includes allkpop. It has been said that because of G Dragons marijuana scandal they lost millions of dollars. I am really hoping that they take notice that most of the rumors that have been starting are from allkpop, and do something like shut them down.

So far the people reading this blog, the only way that I will EVER post a link to allkpop is if/when they piss me off with on of their off the wall articles.
The links to the 3 articles that I quoted are at the bottom of this post, and they all should work.
